PFW: Marine Serre's eco-futurist fashion in her new "CORE" collection

For Paris Fashion Week Marine Serre presents “CORE”; the Fall Winter 2021 2022 collection.

“CORE” explains the designer’s green sensibility and best expresses her concept of eco-futurist fashion that she “wants to bring to the streets”. “CORE” is a new project, and to describe it better Marine Serre has chosen a book and some short documentaries, which give rise to an intimate conversation with the designer who reveals her ethical philosophy. Another protagonist is Marine Serre’ fandom, which gives us different frames of his life. Among the cuttings of the documentary it’s also possible to observe more closely the creation of the clothes for CORE, 50% packaged through an upcycling process with fibers deriving from the previous collections and the remaining 50% with recycled fibers. The collection is composed by many shirts, comfortable faux leather trousers engraved with a laser technique to obtain small half-moon logos, overlapping t-shirts, pullovers, blazers which recall an activewear style declined in the near future. Materials are tinged with warm tones, exotic prints, colorful fabrics and patchwork always made with the timeless Marine Serre logo.
