Diesel, for Valentine’s Day, wants to celebrate love, hope and positivity for a brighter future.
“A portrait of absence and desire told through the words of lovers who have lived both the separated time and the intense reconnection that follows”. All this is the short film “When together”, the campaign created by the new creative director of Diesel and designer of Y-Project Glenn Martens.
Director Cheryl Dunn captures the feelings of eight unknown New York couples experiencing moments of reconnection between closeness and loneliness, eight couples who personify themselves in an intimate feeling of love and melancholy in which the world is now reflected.
«Diesel, for me, has always been a radical protagonist, with his straightforward honesty and his sense of humor. His unique voice has made him an undeniable cultural icon. I want to celebrate Diesel’s founding values and start over by building bridges through a message of hope, optimism and inclusivity. We are truly working for a better future, ”said Glenn Martens.
Renzo Rosso’s fashion house has never gone unnoticed for its communication skills, for its willingness to deal with cultural and social issues with an inclusive background. The short film suggests a “current” storytelling, which certainly reflects Martens and Diesel’s sincere and anti-establishment communicative spirit.
