In the last Paris Fashion Week, about two days ago, Lacoste presented, in a colorful show, the new spring/summer 2022 collection designed by the new creative director Louise Trotter.
If we think of Lacoste we certainly think of the polo and therefore of tennis, here in fact the French brand has set up the catwalk as a field with nets, boundary lines of the field and referee positions.
Taking its cue from its creative roots, the crocodile brand has not only drawn from the world of tennis, but also from that of basketball and golf, reconfirming itself as one of the strongest sportswear brands ever.
The garments worn are characterized by colors that we would not define bright, but intense. We have suits in vert green, in bordeaux, in fluo yellow, beige and in a blue that goes from cobalt to navy.
The unequivocally sporty style is made more chic thanks to the combination of colors and technical fabrics with various accessories.
In addition to the classic polo shirt paired with sweaters and pleated skirts, the models wear oversized tank tops and shorts, waterproof jackets such as anorak of different lengths, knitted or lacquered shorts and more structured and elegant blazers.
All obviously accompanied by accessories such as visors, sports glasses and baby carriers attached to the chest. A not inconsiderable element are also the colorful sneakers perfectly matched to every loook.
Intense tones with fluorescent hints, stripes and transparencies, adherence and softness, all key elements of Lacoste, the French brand that still gives elegance and refinement to sportswear today.
