“Animals are our equals”, animals are like us, a strong message that Stella McCartney wants to send
Inspired by the work “J come Joy” from the McCartney “A to Z” Manifesto, the Fall 2021 collection is the most sustainable that the designer has ever created. It expresses an optimistic vision, full of energy and color, which sublimates the archetypes of racing clothing, adding a touch of softness, sensuality and fluidity.
The models wear the garments from the collection wearing bizarre toy animal heads as they go around London to do “rewilding”, that is, to repopulate the streets with animals, emphasizing that the brand has never used leather and furs for twenty years.
The most sustainable collection created so far by stylist Stella McCartney.
used 80% eco-friendly materials, from the organic cotton of the patchwork trousers to the beech wood of the shoe soles, using a vibrant color palette to give a sense of freshness and optimism that reflects the time of year when the collection is launched, the hope of a more sustainable world and a new start.
“Being outdoors and celebrating life” is the message that the designer launches through the athleisure touch of the pouches of dresses and tracksuits.

To celebrate the launch of the Autumn 2021 “Our Time Has Come” campaign, Stella McCartney also organized a Guerilla gardering in Milan.
All this has seen many supporters of the brand come together who urged passers-by to sign the “Stop Deadly Fur” petition of the Humane Society International, in order to definitively stop the marketing of furs all over the world, some students of the Istituto Marangoni, both from the Milan and London offices and Martina Pluda, Italy Director of Humane Society International (HSI).

“A sense of humor, not taking the fashion world too seriously, have always helped me keep my mental balance. When you deal with such a serious topic as the ethical treatment of animals and the environment, sometimes you need a lighter touch and find the positive side, otherwise the things you say can be very demoralizing. At Stella, a sense of humor is at the heart of the brand: we have always talked about these topics, but it is only recently that people have begun to feel uncomfortable, or to be on the defensive. With a little humor it is easier to process certain messages “.

McCartney explained to Vogue how he intends to continue to reduce the impact of his brand on the planet more and more, and why the future of fashion is fur free, he would like a more sustainable world and prefer fur farms in the world, who knows maybe one day he will be able to have a positive response to all this and live in a 2.0 reality, what do you think?
