Almost all the haute couture brands have had their say in this period of general lockdown; those who have converted their production, those who have equipped themselves to continue and those like Balenciaga have proposed a contest open to all those who follow the Instagram page of the brand.
The basic idea is to involve as many people as possible and unleash their creativity: it has been proposed, for three weeks now, to users around the world to send shots or videos with at least one Balenciaga garment or accessory; after a careful selection will be posted on the page and why not, in the future may be the new advertising or even a look to be proposed on the catwalk.
Certainly the brand’s lovers did not miss this opportunity to be the protagonists of the campaigns for once; the shots that have been published run through a sort of emotional climax similar to the one experienced by each of us on a normal day of quarantine: we start from the classic images of the cat or pug wearing sunglasses of different shapes and colors with the infamous “BB” logo on both sides.

Someone thought to be portrayed lying in a bed full of Balenciaga shopping bags (other than roses) while some others had the lighting to replace the roll of paper towels in the kitchen with the latest model of scarf “Allover” to wipe their mouth with a certain style.
And again, who takes pictures of himself in a Balenciaga outfit while vacuuming or decides to literally dress the chair or stairs of his Manhattan loft with gloves and various accessories.
And finally, last but not least, the most moving note of all: a simple yellow post-it with “stay at home” written on it and next to it a ballpoint pen where you can see the brand.
This time Balenciaga has really made a breakthrough in the hearts of all, the most unattainable brand has managed to be a bridge between the emotions of the world.
