Eleonora Costi’s project
During the quarantine, cities around the world turned into ghost towns. The lockdown necessarily forced us to stay home and go out only for urgent and special events. Even shopping was not easy: endless queues in supermarkets and online orders to send even the computer.
Fortunately they have been there. The pilots of the delivery.
Despite the common feeling of fear, darting all day undisturbed in the silence of the streets, they made this quarantine more bearable. They helped restaurants survive and allowed citizens to fulfill some of their wishes, whatever it was.
So the photographer Eleonora Costi decided to pay homage to the work of the riders during the quarantine in the city of Milan. A series of suggestive shots that show an unexpected humanity, immortalizing the Lombard capital for the first time in silence.
