Years, loves and wine glasses are never counted. Here is the LR3 brand in one sentence.
Age is not a limit and these clothes demonstrate it by bringing to the fore the Peter Pan that is hidden in each of us. Louis Rubi, consultant, stylist and designer from Barcelona, is the creator of a brand without genre, without target, and without limits of any kind.
COVID-19 has certainly not stopped the talent of the designer who from his home every morning posts photos of different outfits to entertain himself and his followers.
And so, shot after shot, Rubi overturns the conventions of traditional tailoring. One day with her oversized trench coat and the other with huge sleeveless pullovers combined with equally wide shirts, she exhibits a gender neutral style.
“With LR3, I’d like to inspire people to have fun with clothes and to worry a little less about what we should wear,” he says. “It’s also time to encourage people to consume differently. Slower processes, less waste, more quality.”
His oversized pieces with unexpectedly balanced proportions create a unique and everyone’s style. A style that has no labels and that creates a real revolution. A revolution that begins with the possibility of becoming whoever you want to be.
An eco-sustainable brand that has no age just like the people who wear it. One size fits all, designed to fit anyone’s physicality.
We are told to remain normal for life, woe to go overboard and get out of the labels that others stick on our skin. LR3 instead wants to do things differently … A slow fashion brand that does not follow the system of the seasons of fashion: we want people to think of our clothes as timeless pieces and we want them to be worn for years to come.
On the web site, even before seeing the clothes, the people who wear them introduce themselves. Each jacket, coat or pants has the name of who is wearing it with a description of the weight, height, and age.
This absolutely original choice shows us once again how LR3 manages to look beyond number and beyond sex to create something that belongs to everyone.
The sustainable brand LR3 makes us fall off our pedestal to put us all on the same level. All the same and absolutely human. So different, but so similar at the same time. Maybe because what we really care about is found inside the smiles of people wearing Rubi’s clothes.
