Jil Sander Choose Florence, more precisely the 97th edition of Pitti Uomo to present the fall/winter 2020 men’s collection.

In a very special location as the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, in an atmosphere rendered“exotic” by the heaps of marigold, Lucie and Luke Meier co-creative directors of the German brand once again show the world of fashion the beauty that is hidden in the minimalism.

A jump into the Past for the couple of designers, who return to Florence after almost twenty years, when they first met as Polimoda students.

Neutral and warm tones, maxi high collar knit vest combined over with wide-sleeved shirts, wide trousers with a leather belt, Silver “Far West” contemporary style accessories and chunky soles shoes. All super trendy elements in today’s fashion that are made everlasting not only by the incredible manufacture of garments but also by the in-depth research and the matching of different materials. The latter, together, give the whole collection an unexpected dynamism.

In short, the Fall/Winter 2020 Man by Jil Sander is the perfect combination of contemporary trends, German sartorial rigour and minimalism.
