Daniel Palillo, Finnish designer, writes and paints a new page in the history of art and fashion. Presented in the gallery “The Hole” in New York, the SS15 makes real abstract art, a transition from two to three dimensions.
The clothing are a limited edition of only fifty numbered copies for each item, playing a process typically used by galleries and artists. The Finnish designer shocks an audience that is already bored by pseudo-artistic inspiration of mass market, through a new level of fashion and artistic experimentation rapresented in “Paintings about the fashion world.” His own paintings take shape and life in clothes from his works, not only inspiration but pictorial transposition of the characters in “mascots” completed with pom pom mask or strips of cloth.
A journey from art to fashion and then return to the art, with the mannequins that appear on the white optical background like paintings in the gallery. Let’s go! Trip destination: wearable art.
