CLARKS ORIGINALS X SWEET CHICK WALLABEE
Clarks: behind this name a story with more than 190 years of experience in the art of footwear.
We initially met it with the key model Desert Boots that today we find in the Clarks Originals collection together with all the icons of the brand distinguished by their quality.
These are in fact evergreen models, made with innovative materials, colors and for this reason of a higher price than the classic line.
Among these the WALLABEE MODEL: -lace-up shoe- in suede leather -with the shape of the classic moccasins-sole in para: comfortable, practical and resistant, available in all colors (whatever your favorite color you can find it).
But today we want to talk about the new limited edition collection:
“CLARKS ORIGINALS X SWEET CHICK WALLABEE”.
Let’s see why so original: silhouette in a “waffle” key, that is with the style of the cone of a waffle.
It is available in light brown and dark brown suede.
It’s a winning collaboration with Sweet Chick: a Brooklyn-based chicken and waffle chain.
Tara Mcrae- chief marketing officer- says of the shoe “It was made with top quality materials and attention to detail for which Clarks Originals is known, with a nod to the famous chicken & waffle of Sweet Chick”.
McRae adds, “We wanted to partner with the beloved bicoastal chain known for delicious creations and devoted customers to develop something completely unique and identifiable that our fans would appreciate.”
She concludes with these words: “It is an incredibly creative and collaborative partner and this is seen in the final product”.
This collection is available this month in selected domestic retailers and on the Clarksusa.com website for $200.
But what better way had the parent company to make known to its fans, especially to the youngest, the new icon than to participate in a festival? and so it was: Clarks Originals debuted at ComplexCon in a pop culture festival, where young fans were able to receive personalized objects for free, enjoy an icecream in the famous wafer cone but also know and possibly buy the new shoes.
They write on their instagram social page “Pull up tomorrow and catch the truck at Bodega LA for more ice cream , special giveaways and tickets for ComplexCon.
We’re giving away a limited edition Wafflebee candle to a few lucky customers. We promise it smells great!”
“It was the first time Clarks Originals exhibited at the festival and we were the only retail brand to do it outdoors in the First Feast Food Lagoon,” said Tara McRae.
