Charm and talent: model HoYeon Jung is the new revelation of Korean cinema thanks to Squid Game

On September 17, 2021, the South Korean Squid Game series was officially released, which in a few weeks went viral to say the least.

The Korean culture, characters and photography of the series have drawn audiences around the world, making the series the most viewed in 90 countries of the globe.

The concept is simple: 456 wretched and moneyless people, a deadly game and a millionaire prize pool.

Among the actors of the cast, of which we mention the famous Lee Jung-Jae, the young Lee Yoo-Mi and Park Hae Hoo, stands out HoYeon Jung, the participant 067 of the game.

HoYeon Jung, for the first time as an actress, plays Kang Sae-byeok, a young North Korean girl who fled to the south, ready to do anything to save her family.

Yes, the young Korean model passionate about cinema proved to be really credible in her first experience on the set. His acting, cold but at the same time expressive and profound, made HoYeon Jung turn out to be anything but pathetic.

Born in Seoul in 1994, the beautiful HoYeon Jung took her first steps on the catwalk at the age of 16. After taking second place at the talent Korea’s Next Top Model, the model has acquired a lot of success, so much so that she appears so young on the cover of Vogue Korea and works for the most famous fashion brands in the world (Marc Jacobs, Fendi, Alberta Ferretti and others).

HoYeon Jung claims to have deepened her knowledge of the world of cinema during her work as a model; when she was abroad, in fact, between one fashion show and another, she spent her free time alone in a hotel room watching Hollywood films or those of her current colleagues.

This prompted her to audition for Hwang Dong-hyuk’s Squid Game series.

In a few days, the model’s Instagram page has counted millions of followers and HoYeon Jung is facing a considerable success.

For the occasion, the Louis Vuitton maison wasted no time and renewed their collaboration, making HoYeon Jung this time the brand’s global ambassador.
