Fashion Show A unique and special for the launch of the capsule collection ” The New Middle Ages”
Thursday, March 6th at 21:30 at the Bunker of Turin presents the collective BATNA capsule collection ” The New Middle Ages” with a performance of great artistic effect . The event is organized in collaboration with Francesca Cola , Volvon and Dimitrije Roggero, blackmaria Studio , with the participation of Holy Crap and project Lacroix and with the technical support of the Association Variant Bunker, ITS ICT Piemonte, Turin Yards Arduino and FabLab .
The collective BATNA ( Best Alternative To Nude Attitude ) is pleased to announce the new performance art for the launch of the capsule collection “The New Middle Ages” , created in collaboration with textile designer Paul Gambertoglio .
The fashion show , presented exclusively with single date , he says, in addition to the concept of the collection , the personal vision of the universe and total fashion through the eyes of the collective BATNA .
In the show, the clothes created by the team of designers, they are the cornerstone on which intertwine different visual forms of expression that communicate with each other , aiming to create harmony and symphony that gives life to the show. As usual , in this project , the product presented is the result of the synergy between different professionals , each bringing a strong expertise in their field . Through a sound path signed Lacroix and the study of light design, Dimitrije Roggero accompanies the visions and minimal choreography developed by the performer and dancer Francesca Cola , which makes a work of direction on the models / performers , transforming the stage and the catwalk parade a visual performance. An innovative format through which BATNA expresses a personal and avant-garde in the field of concept design .
To crown the multi-faceted beauty of the show, the fundamental operation of Pron Martina (aka Holy Crap ) whose jewelry designed ad hoc , add a load to the highly symbolic and mystical outfit BATNA .
A special thanks goes to hair styling edited by Ale wigs and the make up artist Francesca Digiorgio .
The exhibition will be curated in collaboration with the students of the course Mobile App Design Foundation ITS for ICT Piemonte. Afterwards, DJ sets.
In this direction, the choice of location is the bearer of meaning : The Bunker of Turin , independent cultural space that lends itself well to being container and incubator of many and varied creative realities .
Because of the special nature of the event, to promote the sustainability of the site and not to forget the complex situation of creative work in Italy , BATNA choose to ask for a contribution of 5 Euro entrance.
The show continues with a sound performance by the collective Lacroix that presents a preview of a preview of the LIVE project.

the collection
The four season collection “The New Middle Ages” is defined by a strong street flavor , unique because supported by a linear and elegant modeling , as opposed to prints decidedly aggressive and explicit.
To compose it , there are 21 female and 8 male heads , all characterized by a geometric inlay between the all-over printed fabrics and plain fabrics . The lines, deliberately minimal , highlight the importance of eye prints , and transparencies of voile and chiffon creating an elegant play of solids and voids on the heads that fall soft loading of character who wears them .
Black and white, the colors chosen to be printed on high quality materials : silk , cotton, jersey and neoprene , assigned at printing high professional technique of highly qualified companies that operate exclusively on the Italian territory
For the realization of the sample , the project was seen as added value , in collaboration with young local artisans who cultivate trades , confident of a tradition useful in improving the present and nurture the future.
The placement prints , have been entrusted to the screen printing workshop of the Association of Turin ” Monkeys Evolution” , the promoter of this technique through creative projects and workshops open to the citizens .
The collection and format through which it is proposed , showing the strong cultural and artistic ferment of Turin , ready to mature from a professional viewpoint that manages to achieve concrete results in the area and compete in the world thanks to its innovative features and cutting-edge .

The prints drawn by Paul Gambertoglio are the result of the thesis discussed at the “Fashion Ground Academy” in Verona in December 2013 , made on the study of ” trend” and their possible evolution.
The suggestions draw new symbols that define contemporary identities , formed by tradition and shaped by technology , with strong roots , but living in a globalized world .
Symbols of the past reworked in a contemporary flavor street, defined geometries , mixed with tribal figures , religious emblems and loads of values that create all-over unique, designed to achieve the greatest aspiration of Textile Designer : “tell through fashion tensions deeper social . ”
