Probably nothing from a stylistic point of view, but one thing undoubtedly unites them: the desire to express a message, to introduce cultures and traditions of distant places through the powerful means of clothes. So you just have to trust us once again and appreciate this “still little explored” fashion journey around the world.

Our selection begins with Dima Leu, a designer of Moldovan origins but of Italian training. She founded her men’s and unisex fashion brand in 2015, distinguishing herself and winning the prize for the menswear category of the 2020 edition of Who is next thanks to a creative proposal that she knows how to mix sportswear and tailoring.
A design that certainly knows how to instill that sense of freedom and comfort thanks to sportswear but which at the same time does not neglect elegance and tailoring. And his latest collection “ANDANTE”, just presented, nor a proof. Western fabrics and quality craftsmanship blend with urinal geometries to create hybrid silhouettes with soft volumes.

Mans is a prêt-à-porter brand founded by Jaime Álvarez. Always fascinated by the classic elegance that distinguished his German great-grandfather, he projects his creative vision towards a classic masculinity influenced by Sevile Road techniques and Japanese culture. Strong colors and wide lapels embellish an evident dualism made up of tailoring and youth subcultures. As if the savoir faire of the past meets the lightness of today. A dialogue made up of opposites but flanked by the search for balance.

The third brand that we suggest finds its essence in vintage. This is what is defined as the charm of the past, the beauty of wearing a garment that contains within it a story, an affection or a memory. Think for example of our grandparents, how many of us remember them in particular moments of childhood wearing clothes that we would most likely wear today because they are not old enough to go out of fashion.
It is a common thought and as such it also unites Reid Baker and Ines Amorim. Attracted by the elegance of their loved ones, the same elegance often found in Milanese gentlemen casually crossed in the street; the two thus founded Ernest W. Baker: an expression of period allure that never falls into the trap of the antiquated.

Qasimi, born Khalid al-Qasimi, is a Middle Eastern designer and the creative mind behind the eponymous brand. His creations are the description of an urban nomad’s itinerary. Almost a logbook that illustrates the wonders of the Arab world and sometimes even the more fragile side of that reality. In short, a cultural journey told through the powerful medium of fashion. Despite the designer’s death in 2019, the brand still manages to carry on the message of its founder and thanks also to the creativity of its sister, new creative director, Hoor al-Qasimi.

Our journey continues in Russia with Delada, a men’s and women’s clothing label. Starting from her origins, founder Lada Komarova made her brand a story of her childhood spent in Moscow during the breakup of the Soviet state in the 1990s. Although the inspiring elements date back to a bygone era and sometimes shrouded in a dark halo, the result is a progressive and current interpretation thanks also to a highly tailored decontraction game.
