No, il 1789 non è l’anno di fondazione del brand (effettivamente sarebbe un po’ antico) ma fa riferimento alla rivoluzione francese, periodo in cui questa calzatura era ampiamente utilizzata . Oggi, al 15 giugno 2012 possiamo dirlo: è grande il ritorno delle espardillas, e c’è anche un ampio rilancio delle calzature più ‘strutturate’che rappresentano l’evoluzione di questa scarpa. Il marchio è francese, di recente nascita e si presenta per la prima volta ad esporre in Italia. Il prodotto è realizzato in Francia ed è di eccellente fattura, come nella migliore tradizione di questo scarpa. Molto belle le versioni in tessuto chambray, le varianti in suede (che escono sugli 80 euro al pubblico), e le versioni stringata. Un prodotto moderno, ben fatto con ottimi accostamenti di colore. Senz’altro per chi sta cercando qualcosa del genere, una delle migliori proposte disponibili oggi sul mercato.
