Nearly two and a half years ago Wait!Fashion reported a great news (link), the return of the iconic Nike MAG after 26 years since the release of “Back to the Future “, a film that marked a whole generation of young people directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring by Michael J Fox. In 2011 the collectors (U.S. only) clashed in fierce auction on Ebay to win one of 1500 pairs up for grabs, and the proceeds was donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, but many complained to a detail not faithful to the legendary Marty McFly’s shoes, the power laces with the ability to tie once worn. From this missing feature comes today news: during an interview the designer Tinker Hatfield, who works for Nike, has confirmed that we will see the power laces in 2015, the year in which Marty wears the sneakers in the movie. We do not know how this mechanism will work, but the question arises, will be the real return of Nike MAG? You just have to wait…
