We have always been in love with Fiorucci. In love with Elio Fiorucci, and with the brilliant brand that took it out of the cylinder at the end of the 60s, when 1967 opened its first historic store in Milan at the Galleria Passarella.
The t-shirt with the angels, over time became a real icon, as well as the spirit, cheerful, colorful and absolutely free of the brand, which has always stood against any discrimination and gave life, even a shopping experience innovative, with multi-corners, made of accessories and small objects of many small brands which became co-protagonists, anticipating ideas and trends that would come true in the retail world only decades later.
The brand was finally reacquired in 2015, by Janie Schaeffer (with a past in Victoria’s Secret) and her husband Stephen Schaffer, former founders of the underwear brand Knickerbox, a few months after the death of the great stylist, to make a major revival.
The rebirth of Fiorucci has been carefully planned with the opening of the first London flagship store, in Brewer Street, in Soho in September of last year.
Today the brand has been an official guest of the White Show in Milano where he has put on show a collection with an extra gear, able to draw from the spirit of the past but also to look to the future. Among the pieces certainly Fiorucci, there are the allover of yellow flowers, photographic prints with teenage kisses, the branded garments, and, of course, the inevitable t-shirt with angels. What’s justi missing? A new flagship in Milan, to take back to the city where it was born, the brand ans its unique taste!
