Put together three names apparently far from each other, for skills and generations but capable, when combined, give life to a deadly mix.
First: Sergio Pappalettera. Perhaps the very young (and a little ‘ignorant I have to add) do not know this name, but we are talking about a living legend. Wait Magazine some years ago we went to interview him in his studio, to find out how it works (and how it worked, because Sergio has lived the history pre-computer, when the letters of the album and the covers were chosen by hand and look on the books) one of the greates Italian graphics (as well as artist). Author of some of the best covers of the history of Italian music: including those of Jovanotti, Pino Daniele, Raf, 883, Fabri Fibra, up to the wonder of Gommalacca by Battiato. Sergio also oversaw the visual art of concerts such as Jovanotti, Ramazzotti, and Pino Daniele.
Second Name: Pier Paolo Peroni, big record producer and music manager (we can only cite Max Pezzali?)
Third name, that of street-fashion crew more dynamic and irreverent in recent years: NTTL of Filippo Lombardo and Davide Frappietri, the founders of Minimaket, CRB, BetPet Nais, and producers of Zen.
Put a party, slightly alcoholic in Milan, in the store Minimarket …What happens? That in a melee where usually you know nice people, they look at chicks and guys and drink to latch this time something new happens.
Pierpaolo Peroni, approaching the ear of Filippo and whispers these words: “I have an idea that will enrich us.”
And from there that comes the encounter and then the birth of the line WELL/CRO. The name is not random, and if you remember the term Velcro the answer is correct.
The idea incubated by the two creative minds Pier Paolo Peroni and Sergio Pappalettera explodes in a graphics project in its purest and flat colors, inspired by the 90s and based only on the use of symbols and lettering for a strong visual impact.
A revolutionary idea that brings something fresh and new on the market: to change look, you do not need to change jersey, just change graphics. And this is how was born the first capsule collection WELL / CRO, which allows you to have a basic sweatshirt with six panels Velcro completely customized to your taste, choosing from the graphic patch proposed collection. More patches you have, the more you realize different mesh and wear! Simple, right?
The brand, has immediate success and found immediately request a special exclusive temporary corner at the Annex building at La Rinascente in Milan where he was made a dedicated space where you can already buy products WELL / CRO awaiting the official launch party to be held in November.
