THE AMERICAN BRAND ARRIVES IN FLORENCE WITH A COLLECTION AND AN EXHIBITION
Blauer brings two important innovations to the men’s edition Pitti 97: the men’s autumn-winter 2020 collection and an exhibition. The first in full mountain style revisits its urban/police spirit, without forgetting sustainability.
We are in America, in the mountains of the city of Aspen, in Colorado, a very popular destination, especially because of the celebrities who frequent it in winter. The duvets inspired by the forest and police departments mix feature heavier fabrics, such as Taslan light combined with eco-leather and nylon with camouflage prints combined with Taslan for applications.
For more technical garments, taped seams and fleece balaclava inserted in the hood. Some duvets are in silver metallic fabrics. The urban/police line includes models that mix fabrics and quilts. The wool cloth or bouclé wool are combined with nylon, this is flanked by neoprene, which in turn is padded with down, always with the inside with the typical wave quilt. Iridescent nylon in mix with faux fur give life to the most elegant duvets.
On the green theme, there are several proposals for technical and eco-friendly fabrics in recycled materials, both outside and for padding. The fabrics in question are Repreve, a sustainable fiber obtained from recycled materials, such as plastic bottles; P.U.R.E., recycled down which guarantees insulation, breathability and lightness; Sorona, eco-sustainable wadding with feather effect; the Cash Lab, made in Italy padding obtained by recycling 50% cashmere and 50% plastic bottles.
THE HUMAN LANDSCAPE EXHIBITION

The Exhibition
For the Pitti 97 edition Blauer presented the photographic immersed exhibition Human Landscape. Curated by Felice Limosani, it is scheduled from 7 to 10 January in the spaces of the Dogana in Florence. A road trip in the United States made for Blauer Usa by the British photographer James Mollison, who immortalized characters and landscapes from Texas, California, Colorado and Michigan. «We collaborated with James Mollison because he is the artist with the right talent to accomplish the difficult task», explains Enzo Fusco, president of Fgf Industry and creative director of the Blauer Usa brand.
