“I’m not afraid of cold!”
This is the AHIRAIN‘s motto that, for the 97th edition of Pitti Uomo, wanted to challenge the cold thanks to the new THINDOWN® technology, the first feather fabric capable of maintaining heat at the lowest temperatures down to -15°.

Chilly people of all the world, directly from Pitti Uomo 97, here is a brand for you: AHIRAIN!
Born in 2016 by the will of three young entrepreneurs: the brothers Azzurra and Giampaolo Morelli together with the designer Andrea Pucci, the brand has as main focus the export all over the world of Italian excellence and technological know-how of Pellemoda, a company founded in Empoli by Bruno Morelli over 40 years ago and now producer of the AHIRAIN brand.
For the new Autumn/Winter 2021 collection AHIRAIN presents AHIMA, a project created in collaboration with THINDOWN®, the first and only feather fabric in the world, a worldwide patent entirely produced in Italy by NIPI (Natural Insulation Products Inc.) and THINDOWN® Active, the version of the innovative fabric composed of a special blend of real feather and polyester.

Designed for urban street clothing, this fabric guarantees superior thermal performance, up to 155% warmer than polyester fiber tested at the IDFL laboratory, the world leader in thermal insulation tests.
Not only warm, but also ethically responsible.
THINDOWN® fabric has the RDS: Responsible Down Standard certification that guarantees the traceability of the raw material and the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certificate in its highest class, Class I, which ensures the absence of toxic and harmful materials.
The flagship parka is worked externally with a sophisticated shiny micro rip-stop super light nylon with water repellent performance, respecting the refined construction techniques, the careful study of the volumes and the characteristic cuts of the brand, AHIMA guarantees a perfect aplomb in the AHIRAIN technical garments of the new season.

The AHIRAIN FW20-21 collection
It is the confirmation of an important research in ultra-tech and sophisticated materials that animate the brand’s DNA and express themselves in unusual effects and nuances, enriched with surprising details, such as for example a new patented buckle exclusively for AHIRAIN. Oversize volumes remain a distinctive trait, such as the ability to make garments beautiful and technical at the same time.

The study of four new fabrics has led to different waterproof and windproof expressions, starting from Techno Memory Rain, a super compact nylon garment dyed with shimmering shiny thread created exclusively for AHIRAIN, with a three-dimensional effect; at Techno Volie ultra light, a Japanese nylon with a very thin twenty denier thread, treated with rope to obtain a movement effect that is revealed in the super light down duvets made with Japan.

Also presented are the Techno Soft Shell, a two-layers and bi-stretch neoprene, with a blend of nylon and elastane, enclosed in a polyester membrane, which makes it breathable, but at the same time sophisticated and elegant; to finish an extremely soft and technical novelty, the Soft Techno, made of super compact polyester cloth with polyurethane thread. AHIRAIN also confirms this season to its high research in terms of style and performance, the perfect mix for a high level sportswear brand.

Seeing is believing?
For the presentation of its new AHIMA project, the brand decided to set up a special Polar Room at the Pitti Uomo stand that allowed all visitors to test the heat resistance of the garments at -15 degrees.
Well, obviously we have tried it and what to say … FULLY APPROVED!
