Marco De Vincenzo returns with his menswear as Pitti Italics Special Event for the 96th edition of Pitti Uomo

Recognized as one of the most innovative voices on the fashion scene, the designer Marco De Vincenzo officially launched his first menswear collection for the SS2020 season during the 96th edition of Pitti Uomo.
“In 2016 I was invited by Pitti as a guest designer for women’s ready-to-wear,” says Marco De Vincenzo. “The energy of that event was so incredible that I had promised myself that I would return for an important debut. My first men’s collection could only be presented in a similar context, where the joy of doing this job is breathed in every corner of the city “.
So technically, we should speak about a return, or to better say, a great return, the one of Marco De Vincenzo who, with the show at the Tepidarium of the Horticultural Garden Roster, not only presented his menswear collection, but also celebrated 10 years of brand. The fashion show, created in collaboration with the National Chamber of Fashion, has mixed the proposals for men with the women’s resort.

As has always been the case for his women’s collection, also the menswear collection bears the signature of its creator and is mainly made up of extremely high manufacturing levels that are declined in sparks of light and both optical and material effects. Even the wardrobe of the man Marco De Vincenzo is, therefore, pure movement and three-dimensionality.
“I had in mind a real man, who alternates moderation and excesses, rigor and kryptonite. A daily superhero”, explains De Vincenzo, who also admits “is a debut designed and matured over time”.
Pleated and laminated tulle mixed with fresh wool, perforated vinyl, coated bouclé, macramé lacquered and glittery thermoadhesive applications: these are the fabrics and materials that Marco De Vincenzo loves to model, as if it were a real pure material, without tampering, from zero.
“For me this is the sense of imagination: manipulating, shaping, transforming suggestions into tactile visions”, continues the creative. Once again the protagonists of the new collection by Marco De Vincenzo, are determined and confident, well-made and above all coherent with respect to all his past and present.
