Virgil Abloh X Mercedes Benz: the new Maybach will be unveiled in December

Virgil Abloh returns to collaborate with Mercedes-benz G-class after a year.

After making a creative restyling of the G-Class, Virgil this time works on the Mercedes Maybach.

Alongside Gordon Wagener, chief designer officier, Abloh will launch a Mercedes electric show car on 1 December 2021. The car will be shown exclusively at Art Basel in Miami.

Virgil Abloh and Gordon Wagener chose the iconic Mercedes Maybach, one of the first Mercedes models ever released, in honor of its centenary.

The two creatives have really taken a cue from the heritage of Mercedes to renew its values.

As Bettina Fetzer (vice president of mercedes’ communications and marketing sector) states, Maybach is the symbol of exploration, and in the name of this the brand is pushing towards new places of creativity.

We just have to wait until December 1 to get the first images of the new Mercedes luxury car by Virgil Abloh and Gordon Wagener.
