Virgil Abloh and Leonardo da Vinci. THE PARISIAN MUSEUM ASKED THE OFF-WHITE ™ DESIGNER TO CELEBRATE THE ITALIAN ARTIST
Virgil Abloh and Leonardo da Vinci, the strange couple. It could be the ideal title of a science fiction film, instead it is pure reality. In fact, the designer and founder of Off-White ™ has designed a collection to celebrate the Gioconda painter. Work exhibited at the Louvre museum in Paris. And it is the latter who commissioned Abloh to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the death of the artist born in Anchiano (FI) in 1452 and died in Amboise, France, in 1519.
The collection is in pure Abloh style and consists of a few key items such as the oversize white sweatshirt, which features a black Louvre Arrows print on the back, long sleeves and a comfortable kangaroo pocket. In general, each piece is designed to be worn by both art history and brand enthusiasts.
The capsule is available from December 13th. Where is it? At the Louvre gift shop, online on off—white.com, and in store at Off-White Paris, Off-White Milan.
