The Japanese artist Taka Hayashi continues his long-standing collaboration with Vault by Vans by presenting a capsule collection for summer 2020.

Merging military design and archival details together, Vans and Hayashi presented a checkered capsule collection inspired by the QR code pattern, whose sole is tinged with an abstract landscape reminiscent of a lunar eclipse.
The collection consists of six pieces, with two color variations for each model presented:
Style 98 LX
The Style 98 LX brings from the archive the silhouette of the late 90s and early 2000s in leather with suede details and tip, in black and marshmallow colors.
Sk8 Lo Reissue LX
The Sk8 Lo Reissue LX features a QR code-inspired print on the canvas and screen-printed details on the sole. Both colors, black and total eclipse, present the iconic side band in two contrasting colors.
Style 47 LX
To complete the capsule, the Style 47 LX takes some design elements from the archive, such as the ventilation holes and the contrasting rubberized screen printing over the seams. The canvas upper with quilted effect is combined with the midsole with checkboard graphics inspired by the QR code. The two colors presented are white sand and dusty olive.
The collection is only available from authorized Vault dealers.
