Fendi debuts during Milan Fashion Week with an AW 20 collection where it transforms the classic into a new concept of timeless fashion and projects it to future generations.

Style, sustainability and innovation are the keywords of Silvia Venturini Fendi, creative mind of the brand, and describe the concept behind the latest catwalk and its back-to-basic approach: combining tradition and new technologies in a perfect symbiosis.
«I wanted to work on the concept of a new sartorial classic, on materials, shapes, on all those elements that have always distinguished the male wardrobe to rethink them, projecting them into the future». So the creative director explains the meaning of the collection.

In this way the AW 20 show stages a “new normal” represented by oversized coats, jackets and pinstripe trousers with detachable panels in order to transform them obtaining new shapes and sizes.
As for the last four looks, the Italian label relies on the Japanese designer Kunihiko Morinaga of the Anrealage brand to create garments that, when exposed to sunlight, change color thanks to the use of special fabrics with photochromic fibers.

If this is what awaits us in the near future, then we can only welcome it with open arms.
