It comes from the funky and hippy tradition and the tie dye is just come back to the fashion world this year and on Instagram many celebs and influencers started to do their tie dye on t-shirts, sweatpants or denim at home.
Tie dye means literally to tie and to dye and basically you have to make a part of the t-shirt for example waterproof, so the color won‘t mix and proceed this way to create the tie dye effect.
Obviously you may not be super into the tie dye trend but it’s great on a summer outfit or to give a pop of color in a basic outfit.
