A nostalgic minimalism from the 2000s is reflected in the Supriya Lele’s collection.
The aesthetic adopted by designer Supriya Lele goes beyond Y2K clothing trend and the chaotic futurism of the early 2000s. Her proposal for the Fall Winter 2021 2022 is a minimal lines’s revival of those years, and a tailoring that embraces the body almost as if it were a second skin.
The result is a harmonious, asymmetrical and adherent design without too much excess. Particularly, the garments are decorated with shoulder pads, ruffles and draperies; the materials chosen are soft like crochet and knitwear, used a lot for leisurewear style, to which the designer adds a chic and charming touch using tattoo prints and pastel colors such as lime green, bubblegum and coral .
