THE BOSTONIAN BRAND REVISES THE ICONIC MODEL UNDER THE MOTTO OF #DREAMWANNABE
The new 608 New Balance sneaker is not just fashion. In fact it goes beyond being conceived as a pure shoe for every day. The new entry proposed by the American company is the result of one of the many collaborations that sports brands hold with singers, creatives and magazines. In the specific case, the joint venture is one of the brands, Marina Manfredi, founder of the new jewelry brand LaVue Milano and Acrimònia, a magazine dedicated to women’s empowerment. All under the motto-hashtag #dreamwannabe.
But let’s take a step back. For those unfamiliar with the history of the NB608 here is a note: the sneaker was born in the 90s as a performance training shoe.
Only in 2019 is it revisited and presented in its newest version: «a chunky model perfect for the independent who choose a new design without giving up the technical features of which the US brand is a leader.» They explain from New Balance.
The new silhouette incorporates ABZORB cushioning technology, dual-density neck foam that helps prevent ankle irritation, and a flexible sole to give the wearer maximum freedom of movement. To top off the new arrival, the upper takes care of the look, which with a mix of natural and synthetic leather makes it easy to wear and perfect for any occasion.
THE NEW 608 NEW BALANCE SNEAKER ACCOMPANIES A JEWEL
Yes. It is not said that sport rhymes with minimalism. Here then is that the collaboration between LaVue Milan and Acrimònia sees the creation of a jewel. In fact, the accessory, as unusual as it is original, was created to be worn on the shoe.
Where? Both in the back, between the hook and the ankle and/or in the front of the upper.
The New Balance 608 is available in two colors for men and women in all New Balance stores and selected retailers. A third version, with pink accents dedicated to women, is instead available exclusively in the AW LAB stores and on aw-lab.com.
