“Nostalgia is the suffering caused by the unfulfilled desire to return”, said the writer Milan Kundera. And what many of us want to (re)come back during the winter, cold and gray, at least for those who live in the north of the country, is definitely summer. If it has not yet reached on temporal level and in clothing stores, because the sales are still dominant, it has certainly arrived in factories, in laboratories where, in the guise of a dress, it is made. Among the many brands that have started this phase is Pence 1979, of which we present the collection for the spring – summer 2018 season.
The clothes of Dora Zecchin are the representation of what the designer of the Veneto brand defines a holiday mood, from the colors, passing through the choice of fabrics and therefore from their shape and weight, without giving up the prints. Among the proposals, chosen in a calibrated way above all from the point of view of the quality of the materials and the cuts made, especially the trousers stand out, to wear all day long, from the more sporty, the shorts, to the more rigorous ones and with a sartorial connotation. But it’s not just these that make the good weather to be dreamed.
The shades are copious and warm, they extend from beige – a classic – to khaki, from the dark brown of coffee and cocoa to the red of the fruit of the coffee plant up to the orange of the cocoa cabosse and the green references of the hemp. As if to show us a path to follow between the flavors and places of Central and South America, the inspiring regions of the series, the designer has created for the occasion also prints of the three typical local products, like the aforementioned coffees, cocoa and hemp, on sweatshirts and t-shirts with a comfortable and relaxed fit, recalling the uniforms of workers who deal with these wonderful fruits.
Pence 1979 is specialized in denim and in the upcoming season shows its added value with new features: the fringed waist of the 5 pockets and the boyfriend-slim and carrot fit of the ’80s and ’90s. Do not miss the tops made with denim shirts with raw cut bottom. The 5 pockets jackets with an oversized style complete the capsule collection, all with iconic colors such as blue, black and ecru.
The made in Italy brand designed by Zecchin does not need to be original in shape, in the structure of the clothes. To overdo it. Each proposal is to be lived in everyday life and is aimed for women who love comfort, elegance and that are without the fear of giving up being themselves to run after trends absolutely passeggere and vulgar, even on vacation.
