But this Stone Island jacket, the 44999 Garment Dyed with plated reflective, which I could admire and touch live, is a masterpiece of both design and technology.
The jacket is designed as a mid-season anorak (to bw worn from the top, without full-zip front) with an adjustable turtle-style collar with a drawstring.
Along the bust, on both sides there are a series of overlapping pockets that draw the silhouette and give a futuristic look.
The side zip on the bust, allows you to open the neck for an easier fit and regal that aspect between the functional and futuristic that has always made us appreciate Stone Island.
Then let’s move on to the materials: the fabric is made according to now the famous ‘reflective’ membrane that, thanks to a resin bath incorporating thousands of glass microspheres and is resistant to wind and water, this membrane is then coupled with a double layer of nylon jersey, with a performing membrane inside. The garment undergoes a color bath that dyes the textile parts without affecting the reflective part. The application, during dyeing, of a special agent, makes the garment anti-drip.
In short, a sum of crazy technology and design, also presented in really beautiful color combinations, which also highlight the design of the garment.
