With a video presentation represented by the duo Mert & Marcus and set in the majestic rooms of Tate Modern in London, Stella McCartney introduces us to the new Fall Winter collection.

The designer is inspired by the letter ‘D’ of ‘Desire’, from the Stella McCartney A to Z sustainable manifesto drawn up during the lockdown to turn the brand’s attention to a more conscious production, with a zero-waste upcycling approach and a meticulous attention towards workers. The result is a clear demonstration of how the adoption of a ‘sustainable’ approach does not mean depriving the glamour factor in a luxury brand, but the triumph of a charme that respects the well-being of the ecosystem and that, as always, makes you dream.

Observing Stella McCartney’s collection is like receiving a dose of pure and vital energy, confidently waiting for a return to the normality that seems to our eyes and our minds ‘semi-distant’. The hypnotic effect of the items feeds and moves the desire for lightness, freedom and joy given by the funny and psychedelic prints, as well as the bold contrasting colors expressed by purple, electric blue, yellow, bright green, shoking pink and red. The items have cutting-edge materials that are 77% sustainable, such as the wool which comes from cruelty-free farms, the 100% organic cotton, vegan leathers and the regenerated nylon. Moreover, the items are defined by cut-out cuts, 3D fabrics, checkered fabrics, bright glitter and sequins, elements capable of giving vitality and brightness to the collection.
