From the most erotic magazine in the world to a red jacket, it’s a short step …
How are you wondering?
Soulland thought about it before making our summer 2020 even hotter with a collection of shirts that featured some of Playboy’s most famous covers in their prints. Now it’s the turn of a corduroy jacket with a digital print that certainly won’t go unnoticed.

For all those who hid the Playboy magazines under their bed, it is time to take courage and not be afraid to show everyone their newfound interest in the girls who appeared on the vintage Playboy covers.
Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Soulland is a Scandinavian brand founded in 2002 by Silas Adler and Jacob Kampp Berliner. The brand combines Scandinavian traditions, craftsmanship and aesthetics with contemporary designs, creating something truly unique. Just as the red 100% organic cotton jacket that shows the Playboy cover from September 1969 with Shay Knuth is certainly unique.

A collaboration that leaves everyone breathless and combines simplicity and originality in the linear design of a jacket with a French collar and a front closure with a partially hidden double-slider zip. Side pockets and snap button closure on the adjustable cuffs are the other features of the jacket that Playboy meets.

Not everyone knows that Playboy was born in the 1950s as a magazine that offered photographic services of female nudes, but inside it you could also find articles on costume, fashion, sport, politics, interviews with famous personalities from all sectors, as well as literary contributions by famous authors of the caliber of Arthur C. Clarke or Stephen King.
So, like Playboy, Soulland with this collaboration proposes us to look beyond provocation and makes us understand that things can hide much more than what they make appear on the surface. At a time when the female body was its own taboo, not to mention its role, good only for doing housework, the women of Playboy decide to do their physicality what they want.
This is the interpretation that Soulland gives to one of the most criticized, loved and controversial magazines in history by creating a jacket that can be yours for € 275 in the brand’s web site.
