SNEAKERS ALERT: Vivienne Westwood launches its first collaboration with ASICS

The famous ASICS performance brand and the iconic British designer Vivienne Westwood have joined forces to create a limited edition capsule collection that will include ASICS and ASICSTIGER models.

Both ASICS and Vivienne Westwood share a long history of unique designs through quality, experience and innovation. This shared story and the desire of the brands to transcend the ordinary, gave life to this special sneakers collection.

For the moment only two models will be launched starting tomorrow, April 27th: ASICSTIGER X VIVIENNE WESTWOOD – GEL-MAI ™ Knit and ASICS X VIVIENNE WESTWOOD – GEL KAYANO ™ 5 OG.

The ASICSTIGER X VIVIENNE WESTWOOD – GEL-MAI ™ Knit sneakers adopt the iconic Squiggle print by Vivienne Westwood in the original red and white variant that debuted in the Pirate fashion show of the A/I1981 season.

The flexible stocking of the shoe is in knit while the internal structure is in white leather. The model was chosen for asymmetrical lacing, a technique often used by Vivienne Westwood.

The ASICS X VIVIENNE WESTWOOD – GEL KAYANO ™ 5 OG sneakers are instead represented in an iconic Asics model, selected precisely for its history and classic shape, this time reinvented in the red and orange variant, two iconic colors of the Vivienne Westwood archive .

These two sneakers will be available exclusively in the Vivienne Westwood boutiques including the one in Milan in Corso Venezia 25 and in all the ASICS stores from April 27th 2019.
