We talked many times about Brooklyn We Go Hard on this blog and on our magazine . Simply one of the most interesting emerging brand on the international scene and those who are leaving an important mark .
The announcement of the partnership with Puma was a gossip that was circulating in the environment but today the news becomes official , accompanied by the release of the photos of the collection. On buyer’s notebooks this assumes the level of one of the most important collaboration of the season.
The duo’s love of the founders of BWGH for PUMA has roots in the period of their adolescence and now , with this partnership , they have had a chance to implement it by customizing one of the iconic sneakers of the brand , the famous R698 protagonist of a makeover so unique that combines Parisian style of BWGH with the rich heritage of PUMA .
The distinctive feature of BWGH you immediately see the logo of Puma reproduced i embroidered sponge, which reflects the style of the brand’s Parisian sweatshirts . Another distinctive feature is seen in the care and choice of materials ( suede , mesh and bouclè texture ) and in the shades of blue.
David Obadia has directed the creative process of collaboration and in fact the design of the new R698 reflects his obsession for bright colors and pure. Obadia was inspired by the American painter Mark Rothko, often classified as an abstract expressionist , famous for his work in color field which exclude any interest in the value of the sign , shape or material but give importance only to the color . Rothko believed that the colors were the real language and it is clear the call of Obadia in its work with the choice of shades for the deep blues BWGH x PUMA R698 which was rightly named Bluefield .
Only a select few , however, can buy the BWGH x PUMA R698 , produced in extremely limited numbers , which will be available from December 7 in the best stores around the world .
To embellish this special launch will also be available a backpack technical , taken from the archives PUMA , and reworked to complete the sophisticated look of BWGH while keeping alive the sporting elements of distinctive PUMA .
