The heritage of made in Italy is still strong, especially beyond our borders. If the tendency for many Italian fashion brands is now to produce abroad, there is another one in clear opposition, implemented with a system different to the previous one. In fact, more and more realities of the sector are founded in a foreign country are emerging, but they choose to design and produce their garments entirely in Italy. The last case is Nemozena, born almost two years ago and based in Dubai.
The company presents a portfolio of proposals that combine elements of our tradition such as quality and tailoring with attention to functionality, therefore to practicality: today women need to move freely, but to do so they do not have to give up clothes well done, even from the materic point of view. The objective is indeed to create clothes “that occupy a role and a specific place in the ideal wardrobe (…)”. Potentially, therefore, each of us could wear Nemozena at any time of the day.
Within the fall-winter 2018 collection there is a capsule collection entitled Reversible, which “makes the garments multifunctional and amplifies the occasions of use”. They explain from the house. These are “surprising and transversal with impeccable wearability, which change of color, texture and volume.The variables day-evening, masculine-feminine, structured-fluid are perfectly packaged on both sides”. They conclude.
On the market, the clothing brand is positioned in a medium-high segment, although stylistically and from an aesthetic point of view it is not limited to the iconography of the typically luxurious country of origin. On the contrary, the lines are rather basic and the colors are limited to white, black and some more daring details; but everything more within the western limits and language codes than that of middle-eastern. All that remains is to see how it will evolve in the future.
