“I put all my joy, my genius, my destiny and my soul under your satin shoes, under your charming silk feet, so that you heal me, you, my light and my color”. So wrote Charles Baudelaire in Afternoon Song within the poetry volume The Flowers of evil. These words, the tragic force charges, echo the great mythic love stories like Romeo and Juliet or, some time before, Tristan and Isolde. And it is the latter the source of inspiration of the collection for next winter designed by Erika Lampert for her brand: Lamperti Milano.
Each shoe model bears the name of one of the main characters of the myth as, in addition to the two protagonists, as Blanchefleur- (mother of Tristan, ed) and Lord Marke (uncle of Tristan and King of Cornwall, ed). If in past collections, the designer had put on her now iconic 12 inches heel in the shape of a cross, this season has added important new features. One in all the special design of the boots – those up to the knee to the classic Chelsea boots – that recall precisely the medieval style, the historical context, in fact, in which the legend is set.
Pointed details reminiscent of the spear, are combined with colors like gold and black predominant at the time. Leather and other quality materials dress the Lamperti Milano’s anachronistic concept, emerging brand that produces entirely in Italy, thanks to Erika Lampert who believes in our country and its unique features envied around the world. With this collection, the creator has brought a new vision into the brand: more room for creativity. Because fashion, if done seriously, it is also fun and dream.
