Hi Debora, thank you for accepting my invitation.
Thanks to you for the opportunity to present our project to your audience.
How and when was your cosmetics brand born?
Alia Skincare was born from a deep attachment to my land, Sicily, and from a course of study appropriate to the future of Alia. I lived for over 12 years in Northern Italy, where I obtained my first degree in Science of Cosmetic and Herbal products, and then my second degree in Pharmacy, in the following years I have dealt with Scientific Marketing and development of natural products, both in herbal and cosmetic sector. This is the path that preceded the birth of my own brand.

What prompted you to take this path and what do you expect from the future?
The push, which I prefer to call courage combined with a pinch of recklessness, comes in 2016 during a career path. A truly formative experience, which resulted in a greater knowledge of myself. I could tell you that I expect a lot from the future, because I slowly created and consolidated the foundations of this project. But in retrospect, perhaps I would answer that it is more important not to set too many expectations, because with commitment, unexpected results are often obtained, and this is the beauty of a personal project! Be amazed every day by the goals achieved, always with an eye to the future.

What are the key ingredients of your line?
The key ingredients are those of Sicily. They are the essential oils of orange, pink grapefruit and lemon, but they are also our precious vegetable oils, such as the extra virgin olive oil that my family produces in Trapani. Furthermore, despite the market trend that requires more and more “technological” ingredients, Alia Skincare focuses on the simplicity and genuineness of the components, such as calendula, prickly pear gel, sea salt and much more.

Would you tell us how your product is born? What are the strong points?
Alia Skincare products are created with the aim of giving an authentic experience of our Sicily. It is therefore not a traditional use of cosmetics. I prefer to describe it as a path, a sensorial itinerary that leads to a series of stages, which allow you to tell a wonderful land. All thanks to a new line of cosmetics, attentive to respect for man and the environment. It is no coincidence that our packaging is recycled and recyclable, we use low-foaming and chemical-free ingredients. The line, of course, is free of animal derivatives and cruelty free. For each product we pay attention to the testing and analysis phase, so as to guarantee maximum safety even for the most delicate and sensitive skins.
Is there a product from your current line to which you are particularly attached for any reason?
Absolutely yes, alas there is always the favorite son. I perhaps have more than a few in this case, my products of the heart are actually two. The first is the Moisturizing Cleansing Cream, a product with 3 functions: it cleanses in the most delicate way possible, removes make-up very well, leaves the skin very soft, and wonderfully scented with almond, for me it is a real cuddle.
The second product was recently launched and is already becoming popular among my customers, it is an ultra-light Spray Cream, for face and décolleté, ideal for the summer. It is an intensive treatment based on pink grapefruit hydrosol, Vitamin C and hyaluronic acid, a real pleasure for me. Refreshes, hydrates and does not grease the skin.

How did the idea of majolica in the product pack come about?
The idea stems from the desire to express Sicily in its entirety, representing not only the typical scents and ingredients, but also the emblematic colors of Sicilian majolica. An ancient art that we inherited from the Arab colonization and which today are recognized for its artistic and historical value all over the world. Each product has a completely personalized majolica and different from the other pieces in the line.
Do you have in mind the release of some new product? And which?
If you can reveal it to readers.
We have several products in the pipeline, ranging from skincare dedicated to the face, and up to bodycare. At SANA in Bologna, a fair dedicated to organic and natural, there will be a little taste.
What would you say to those who still don’t know you? What distinguishes the brand in three adjectives?
I would say that Alia is the most authentic expression of Sicily, our philosophy is clear and simple and translates into: NATURAL, SAFE AND HIGH SENSORY IMPACT.

An exfoliating face mask, which thanks to the almond powder removes impurities and dead cells, and then is left on for a few minutes, the time to let the other components act. such as the Ellagic Acid of the pomegranate, which lightens and prevents the formation of dark spots. Once rinsed, the skin is deliciously scented and soft as silk. Ideal for the most sensitive skin, it does not irritate skin and eyes.

Olive oil and sweet almond oil guarantee the nourishment the skin needs, preserving its hydration for a long time. In addition, it is enriched with aloe and calendula, two ingredients with soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, making it the perfect ally for the summer. It is easily absorbed and restores the skin after sun exposure.
