Founded in 2013 in Amsterdam, Lucentment is an online Avant Garde fashion espresso.
The passion for avant-garde art and fashion of the two brothers Ralph and Oscar Vermande, has given birth to this project that expresses admiration for the online world, with the aim of broadening the vision of dark fashion and rock gothic fans from old and new generations, with historical and future fashion references.

Recently, Lucentement has collaborated with the emerging designer James Kearns, to create a model of shoes in two color variations: “Scuro” and “Luce“.

The connection between Scuro and Luce is like siblings, unparalleled. Symbolizing a hard and rugged maturing in perspective with a smooth and subtle evolution. Expressing divergence while explaining the same story.
The complexity of the shoe lies in the composition and construction, strictly hand-made by James Kearns himself. The separation in the sole is calculated to the millimeter to ensure the stability and quality of the shoe, maintaining a maxi but at the same time classic appearance. It can be defined as a real wearable piece of art with a dark gothic taste, as the time taken is only three hours each to hand-sew the sole to the shoe.
This model is also characterized by elongated laces to wrap the shoe, and by anthracite stitching on a black base, to emphasize the details. The iron eyelets are rusted in water for three months before being applied to the shoe.
