FRENCH LUXURY MAISON CELEBRATES UNITED STATES BASKETBALL WITH A NEW CREATION
Louis Vuitton has recently unveiled the NBA Trophy Travel Case. The iconic French luxury fashion brand has experimented in what it does best: produce a travel bag. But special. In fact, it dedicated it to the world of American basketball. The accessory is the result of a multi-year agreement between LVMH and the Nba-National basketball association.
The object of desire is the first trunk that is preparing to host the Larry O’Brien trophy. And it is made in the famous laboratory of Asnières, near Paris, where the most famous Vuitton bags are produced. In particular, the iconic ones with the Monogram print. To make the NBA Trophy Travel Case recognizable, which will host the trophy with which the NBA championship winner will be awarded next June, the maison has also placed its famous two letters on it: LV. And it doesn’t end here apparently. In fact, the creative director of the men’s line, Virgil Abloh, plans to make a limited edition capsule. The details are yet to be determined.
But how does the French company see this collaboration? Michael Burke, president and CEO of Louis Vuitton said: «Louis Vuitton and Nba are icons and leaders in their sector, the union of the two promises memorable moments, which will create historical memories together. Louis Vuitton has long been associated with the most coveted trophies in the world, with this unique collaboration the tradition continues». Mark Tatum, NBA coo, however, says that «the NBA finals are remembered for iconic players and memorable performances, which culminate with the presentation of the Larry O’Brien Trophy. The tradition, heritage and identity of Louis Vuitton create a natural synergy with Nba and this collaboration is a special and unique way to show our trophy to all fans of the world».
