Making one of the most unexpected moves in the fashion scene, Fendi recently unveiled the appointment of Kim Jones as the artistic director of the haute-couture, ready-to-wear and fur collections for women.
So Kim Jones will be added to the direction of the women’s collection together with Silvia Venturini Fendi, who will maintain her role as creative director in men’s clothing and accessories, also at the same time remaining artistic director of DIOR Men. In a press release, Bernard Arnault, Cheif Executive of LVMH commented:
“Kim Jones is a great talent and since joining LVMH she has always demonstrated her ability to adapt to the codes and all the stylistic legacies of the various Maisons. I am convinced that at Fendi, her vision and passion will greatly contribute to success. of women’s collections “.
Kim’s first collection will be the Fall / Winter 2021 prêt-à-porter collection that will be presented during Milan Fashion Week in February.
