A lot of passion for art and a meeting from which is born a project: Bucobianco. We are talking about two creative minds, those of Barbara Branciforti and Giacomo Nee who, coming from two parallel roads have combined their desire to express themselves (and dream) creating their own brand. Bucobianco is not just a flagship store, an “artshop”, in via Sciesa 9 in Milan, but it is also a laboratory, BUCO3D, which manufactures 3D prints with artistic declination. Entirely made in Italy these dresses are bearers of happiness and require a buyer who appreciates this elegant unconventionality.
What were the reasons that have pushed you to found Bucobianco?
We created Bucobianco to convey an artistic idea, made up of laws and their situations. In order to directly reach the people we chose also the fashion vehicle.
What is the meaning of this name?
A white hole is the opposite of a black hole, it emits energy and substance in the universe. What we want to do is to create “positive matter”.
How do you live the market, increasingly competitive, of fashion? Where is in it Bucobianco?
Bucobianco is not entirely placed in the “fashion” world because Bucobianco’s artistic idea is applied to fashion. We conceive a fashion that exceeds the classifications as these do not belong to our artistic work. We want the idea to be worn and which is made in a manner as free as possible.
What are the specifications that a brand must have in order to define itself “independent”?
We do not work with the trend of the moment, but we aim to create a head timeless, regardless of its beauty or not, it has an energy and a story.
How are articulated creative and production process?
The creator and designer of the dream world of Bucobianco, is Giacomo Nee. Who turns dreams into reality is me (Barbara Branciforti, ed) which follow the production entirely made in Italy.
Future projects?
Continue to tell the Bucobianco’s stories, expanding horizons and conquer those who really need to dream a little more.
