Gucci has recently released its new Spring/Summer 2019 collection, made of luxury basics, sneakers, hooded sweatshirts and numerous accessories. The latest version is inspired by the earlier eras of Gucci: from printed silks to jeweled velor to sporty garments, the playful mood of the SS19 celebrates classic cuts and bold accessories, from a bag with Mickey Mouse to sandals with colored straps.

Gucci has released the classic black velour jumper in a new Anorak fit. The insides of the hood are lined with horsebit chain printed twill – similar to silk ties the brand released in the 1980s. The jumper also features an interlocking “G” patch, a half zip closure and a drawstring detail at the hem.

Referring to the sporty line, the Screener sneakers are inspired by classic 70s sneakers and vintage sportswear. These shoes feature the web strip on the side, a vintage Gucci logo and a removable Art Deco GG crystal chain.

The button down shirt in acetate and silk features the classic orange Horsebit diamond print on the back and 100% silk sleeves. The nostalgic shirt is treated for a vintage effect, with horse-inspired details reminiscent of the Gucci legacy.

The GG pattern monogram calf-length socks are composed of 80% cotton and feature the classic green and red Web trim. The design harks back at the brand’s iconic archival elements.

To honor the 90th birthday of Disney character Mickey Mouse, the 3D-printed bag recently walked down the Spring/Summer 2019 runway. The top handle bag is enamelled with details featuring French phrases and terms of endearment and features a hidden magnet closure.

The oversized 100% cotton jersey hoodie has been given a wash and dye process to achieve a worn-out appearance. The classic green and red Interlocking G motif is the focus on the font, faded over the zip.

The slingback sneaker-sandal mixes leather, mesh and a reflective fabric over a chunky sole. The sneaker-sandal displays the Gucci logo in rubber on the front velcro strap, with elastic laces for an adjustable fit.

The green cotton chenille tracksuit jacket features a multicolor stripe down each sleeve and contrast piping throughout. The oversize fit features front-zip pockets while the sleeves are composed of blue Horsebit rhombus print silk twill.

First seen on the runway, the oversized backpack is inspired by classic Gucci eclecticism and has details inspired by the hiking world. The backpack’s multiple pockets, straps and a detachable bottle carrier are juxtaposed with a floral velvet jacquard reminiscent of vintage tapestries.

The bowling shirt in silk twill presents a motif of scarves and images of riders and horses in rides. The button-down collar design is finished in sage green to resemble the contrasting edges of carré. The shirt has mother-of-pearl buttons and is made from 100% silk.
