Tuesday, February 5, 2019 China give a hearty welcome to the New Year and Gucci celebrates it with a model of sunglasses created ad hoc. Moreover, the data provided by the Kering group, to which the brand belongs, announce that in the third quarter of 2018 the Asian market represents 41.9% of the Florentine company’s revenues, followed by the North American one, to 40%. It does not seem out of place, then, to pay tribute to a country in the Far East. Among the various financial and marketing operations, the merit of success is certainly attributable to Alessandro Michele, creative director, whose aesthetic intuition has won everyone, from the press to the customers, more and more affectionate.
Exclusivity and attention to detail. These are the two distinctive elements of the brand’s history and even today they are not hinting at setting. The exclusive eyewear product also proves this. «Inspired by this lively festival, Gucci reinterprets one of its hexagonal shapes in red, the dominant color of the Lunar New Year.» They explain from the company. A special accessory, able to combine tradition and avant-garde, in an oversize style and a gilded metal frame decorated with bright red edges. «The thin temples are decorated with the GG motif and made recognizable by the characteristic bee of the Maison on the mother-of-pearl terminals. The electric pink tinted lenses give a touch of freshness to the original model.» They continue enthusiastically.
Now the accessories are more purchased than clothes, and not only for reasons related to price, held lower to embrace a wider audience. These products often represent real pieces to collect, think of the perfume bottles or even the packaging with which they are sold. And also for the sunglasses dedicated to the Chinese New Year, already available online, there is a particular attention to this aspect: it is in fact «a case in soft and precious velvet and a satin envelope. This exclusive design is also present in one of the images of the seasonal campaign.»
