Despite their wildly different aesthetic, Gucci and Comme des Garcons have combined the best of their distinctive styles to launch a shopper with a unique aesthetic that combines the colors and style of the two houses.
Comme des Garçons, a brand known for its minimalist approach to fashion given by the founder Rei Kawakubo, in fact, Gucci designed by Alessandro Michele, king of the eclectic and decorative style.

The collaboration between the two brands does not seem obvious, but the result is unique: we find a shopper made of brown craft paper, typical of Comme des Garcons, wrapped in a particular plastic “shell” that gives it a contemporary industrial look.
An iconic green-red-green Gucci’s “Web” strip runs vertically along the center, providing a juxtaposition to the more technical manufacture of Comme des Garçons.
Currently the price has not yet been announced, but the shopper will be available internationally on Thursday 6 December.
Both Gucci and Comme des Garçons are universally loved for their own distinctive recognizable perspectives on design and an accessory like a tote bag, it is definitely the perfect entry point for any future collaborations between Alessandro Michele and Rei Kawakubo.
