The japanese illustrator Hajime Sorayama strikes again in the fashion world!
The unforgettable collaboration of the 74-year-old artist for Dior in 2019 prompted many designers to contact him again: one of these is the Japanese Nigo, creator of the well-known streetwear brand BAPE.

Here is a clothing collection, the Be@Bricks and the BAPE STA shoe, born from the partnership of BAPE x Sorayama.
The streetwear clothing line features solid color t-shirts and sweatshirts featuring the Bape camouflage print and a shark face, all accompanied by metallic elements.
The Be@Bricks, which could be defined as collectibles, are instead robotic bears in gold and silver, which reflect more the futuristic style of Sorayama’s creations.
But what really represents the marriage between the BAPE brand and the Sorayama language are the BAPE STA shoes. The BAPE sneakers, born as reinterpretation of the Nike’s Air Force One, are entirely in translucent silver, with a semi-transparent white midsole. The upper has no laces, but a silver band on which the military BAPE motif is embroidered in white. The same embroidery is present on the side of the STA logo next to which Sorayama’s signature is sewn.
After taking a look at the collection, we just have to wait for the drop scheduled for July 31st. The garments and items will be available online and in BAPE stores.
