When a writer has a story to tell he puts it on paper, or on a Word file. The same applies to a painter, who colors his thoughts on the canvas. Fashion designers also use the same modus operandi and the same goes for Essere Style, the luxury scarves brand designed by Elvira del Monaco and produced entirely in Italy. Each piece tells a lived episode, a moment to be impressed, rather than on a sheet, on high quality materials, like the silk used to shape the dream of Del Monaco that comes to Sardinia, in Porto Rotondo, to make it, together with its two partners Sara Pitzoi and Fabio Columbano.
Colors, shades, shapes and unique figures are the protagonists of seventeen models entirely handmade, among which stand out for their originality and style: Incontro, in silk twill with a hand-made hem, is the combination of geometric elements wall and floor tiles that characterize the Domus Pompeiane with those of the typical Sardinian geometric textile style; Bagolari, in silk cotton, is inspired by the seed of sticks from the Trevisan playing cards where the sticks are shaped like sceptres or ceremonial mallets and in this texture the stick repeats itself following a circular trajectory as if it were a mandala. Another scarf that can summarize the world of Essere Style is Cashmere, the part of the collection made with looms, whose decorative patterns are geometric and proposed in gray, black, purple, ocher and orange.
Wear them as tops or skirts – those with heavy weight – or as bands. Combined with crop tops or clothes make the look sophisticated, while with high-waist jeans in blue or white evoke pin-up time, timeless icons, as they promise to be the headscarf designed by Monaco.
