“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes”. Thus wrote Marcel Proust. Observe with all your senses is not easy especially if what is being internalized must be reinterpreted in life in an elegant and personal way. Luca Larenza seems have made it and the result is his men’s collection for next summer presented with an installation at the Bonaverimilano space during June 2016 fashion week.
Mexico is the journey undertaken by the creative who, from this country, reported in Italy a typical element of the local folklore: el luchador, or wrestler. Their typical garments include full of color masks that define the various athletic skills of fighters. It is from these pictorial nuances that Larenza became seduced, thus creating a collection as always colorful and full of references to this sunny and rich in contradictions land.
The cloth protagonist is certainly the knitwear made from the highest quality materials such as lisle accompanied by polo shirt with contrasting collar and cuffs. To enrich its proposal Luca Larenza introduced t-shirt in printed cotton jersey, also consistent with the proposed theme.
Larenza is a designer who is not afraid to use color, to make his man by the bohemian charm of a real unconscious master of style. A traveler, an elegant explorer who reminds less common aspects of a country and relocates them in his world in a unique and original way.
