STREETWEAR ACCORDING TO BIKKEMBERGS: THE COLLECTION FOR THE NEXT WINTER
Bikkembergs autumn-winter 2019. The fashion brand founded by Dirk Bikkembergs revealed the clothes for the cold season, fortunately still far away. And we can immediately understand, from the first images, the rhythm that the creative, together with his team of designers, wants to give to the collection. The idea is that of speed, motor racing. Many symbols, in fact, of that sporting world and high-speed adrenaline are taken up and made elegant: from the slogan to the pullover textures that recall the checkered flag of the finish line.
Each piece is a hymn to streetwear which, however, does not seem to disdain some sartorial incursion: if in fact some pants have a precise and classic cut, the padded bomber jackets are the focus of the whole project. After all, among the Antwerp Six, the designer is the one who has always accustomed the public with his casual and sporty imprint.
COLORS AND LOGOMANIA: THE DETAILS ACCORDING TO BIKKEMBERGS
There are two elements that have always distinguished the world of the brand: colors, often bright, so as not to go unnoticed, and the use of the logo, printed on the iconic boxers, up to the swimsuits, passing through the knitwear and the outerwear. Even in the latter case, expectations are not disappointed and Bikkembergs fans can find the company’s iconic features in the collection.
After all, why evolve into something that is not part of one’s style and taste? Like it or not, in fact, the Antwerp designer has managed over time. Certainly through ups and downs, to create his own signature, recognizable today all over the world and not only among those who practice sports, of course. And maybe this is just the right recipe to stay afloat: never give up on yourself.
