The world of beachwear, especially the female one, has always represented a fascinating world for us, in some ways mysterious. As a magazine attentive on the one hand to public trends but also to B2B ones, we marvel at the complex and subtle dynamics that lead certain brands to establish themselves in a truly special and certainly difficult sector.
Today we are talking about Cotazur, one of the women’s beachwear brands that is in greater and continuous growth.
Cristiana Andreoli, of the Andreoli showroom, who has been dealing with the brand for 3 seasons, reports this to us, which has now been included in the important brand list of the Florentine showroom BigANDFlorence, the result of the merger of the historic Brini and Andreoli showrooms.

To find out even more, we also interviewed Francesco Parisi, co-owner and commercial director of Cotazur.
Hi Francesco, despite the name, can you confirm that it is an all-Italian brand?
Yes, the brand is rooted here, in our Puglia, a territory deeply steeped in fashion and with strong roots in textiles. The reference to the French Riviera, contained in the name, refers to the colors, reflections and sensations of those places and its most elegant beaches.
When did the story of Cotazur begin? Was it a project born by chance or studied ‘at the table’ before the launch?
The brand has 10 years of life, a path that is not short and that has allowed us to establish ourselves step by step. Before the launch we studied the market in depth, trying to understand which audience we wanted to hit, or rather, fascinate.
Here, by the way: what is your “typical customer”?
Our typical client is a woman aged 20 to 40, sophisticated, elegant, looking for something ‘different’ and that stands out, but Our typical client is a woman aged 25 to 40, sophisticated and elegant who loves being glamorous on the beach.
Are you present abroad?
Yes, Greece is the market where we are strongest, but we are also well present in Spain, Portugal, Russia, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
It seems fair to me, given the importance of the sea for Greece, I imagine there is an important market. Even though I know it’s not an easy country… so congratulations!
I saw that your sample collection is really large, so much so that he gave you the opportunity to create (and fill!) Real ‘mono-brand’ stores. Where are?
Our flagship is located in Trani, it is a natural way to be present at our home, in Puglia, and relate directly to the public, while in Ibiza we have a shop in shop.

Tell us about the designer behind the brand.
The designer is Ilaria Antonucci and she has been in charge of the Cotazur style office from the very beginning. She is an architect and I believe this has allowed her to mix her natural inclination with the taste, style and colors of Cotazur, with the rigor that such training requires. Her strength is contamination … and her results are proving her right. Customers appreciate.
And behind every successful brand there is also a company, right?
Of course, Erman, based in Andria, is the company that has believed and invested in the brand since 2018 and with its deep know-how in textiles has made it possible together with all of us to achieve these goals.
What is the model or style that has been most appreciated in the last seasons of the brand?
As we have said, the collection is very large, but our workhorse were the lurex fabrics, capable of reflecting the sun’s rays in a particular way and producing particularly original and precious iridescent effects.
How do you manage communication? Do you rely on social media and influencers?
We have invested heavily in communication, which is one of the pillars of our strategist. Communication ranges from digital to paper and is handled both internally, in our Apulian office, and by our press office based in Milan.
Certainly social networks are one of the ingredients of our mix, and we also collaborate with influencers, but we cannot say that success is linked only to certain more or less famous figures as it can happen for other brands.
Beautiful swimsuits, worn by beautiful women … can you give me some names of the most famous women who have worn your swimsuits?
The list is really long, there are many famous people, but I will give you two names that immediately come to mind: Madalina Ghenea and Mariana Rodriguez … but they are so many!
