Demna Gvasalia is already known for his ways of thinking outside the box and even this time he did not failed the expectations. The creative director of Balenciaga has sent out very special invitations for his next fashion show, scheduled for March 6 during Paris Fashion Week, the most prestigious of them all.
The brand sent to guests a damaged and non-functional iPhone 6 with date, time and place of the event engraved on the back. The choice made seems to be a clear allusion to the theme of the show, entitled “360° Show“. For this reason there will probably be some reference to technology or to the digital world, a reality to which the designer has already proven to be linked both in the previous season, presented through a video game, and also as regards the metaverse, in which soon we will probably see a dedicated section.
Some have also associated the use of the Iphone to a critique to the hyperconsumerism of society and an incitement to recycling.
