The models are three, in five versions, and are made in Italy. The concept takes inspiration not so much from the clothes presented in the autumn-winter 2018 collection in Paris, rather from the jewels that adorn them. «The first, inspired by the iconic spider of the brand, is characterized by an oversize open frame decorated with eight white Swarovski pearls, discreetly applied to lenses and temples. The lens colors reflect the shades of precious stones, amethyst violet and ruby red, with a sophisticated shade that intensifies as you approach the bridge. The frame is antiqued gold or silver plated, with the logo engraved on the rod.» They explain from the Kering group company.

«The second line, declined in a pilot and a square model, is distinguished by the profile studded with small Swarovski crystals in relief. Also for this, the gold or silver plated frame with a retro look and the name Alexander McQueen impressed. The third and last model, made of acetate, is embellished with a ciliary-jewel, antiqued gold or silver plated. Inspired by the ancient baroque pearls protagonists of the recent McQueen collection of jewelry, the pavé of Swarovski crystals is set in a rich metallic pattern. The engraved golden metal logo on the shaft completes this precious frame.»
